One of the best of the early Hard House tracks; though it's nothing like the hoover madness which characterised a lot of 1990s hard house, that is, perhaps, why this one seems to have dated less than most mid-1990s hard house.

The previous review describes it pretty well - it's probably best described as "pumping" rather than "banging", but it's still hard enough and banging enough for me - though it's probably a "first half of a set" tune rather than one to end a set on - well, it was in the kind of scene I played in, anyway.

If I remember correctly, Kitty Lips was a gay club (or possibly a lesbian club which admitted men as "guests", I can't remember which) which took place at The Mars Bar in London's Charing Cross Road, and was most likely the first gay club I ever went to - not because I was gay (I'm not - I went with my wife!! lol) but because I knew the music would be good, and I already knew the venue from Fabio & Bukem's pioneering drum & bass night, "Speed". Now, those were the days!!

Anyway, this one's a track which would fit into many hard house sets as well as some fairly hard techno sets as well, and I've always found it to be a pretty versatile piece of wax to have in the box.

It's a shame that the Kitty Lips girls didn't put out much more vinyl, as this is definitely a quality 12"

'Keep Rockin' is a chugging minimal track with deep rumbling bass, dirty synth stabs and minimal vocals. 'It's Not Over Yet' is a slamming track which is broken down into four distivctive parts and styles. The first part is banging and minimal. The second is a short break beat section. The third (and best!) is a slamming bit of progressive hard tech-trance with gritty analogue synth stabs and driving percussion. The fourth sees the track out with some chunky sounds that wrap themselves around the thumping kick drum. This one would makes the dancefloor go wild!!
