I agree with speedingdeacon. I've never heard this album in better quality. This pressing is a masterpiece.

Dead quiet background and incredibly dynamic mastering. This release sounds much more full and wide than the original CD. This is one of my favorite albums, but it always sounded quiet and flat to me in the past, but the remastering and high quality of the pressing really brings everything to life. It was a true joy to listen to even after listening to this album countless times in the past. Great attention to detail with the excellent quality jacket and artwork as well. Another wonderful job by MOV.

I don't believe for a second that this MOV reissue was sourced from the original mastertapes at all. I think this "entirely remastered" MOV reissue was pulled from CD. Why? Simple: if you are going to genuinely reissue the vinyl version, then you'd expect that the track duration of all the tracks on this MOV reissue is exactly the same as the track duration as they are on the original 1993 vinyl version. Instead, the track duration of the MOV reissue follows the shorter / edited track duration of the songs as they appear on the CD. Examples: When You Gonna Learn (3'47" on the reissue, but 6'22" on the original pressing), Too Young To Die (6'04" on the reissue, 10'08" on the original pressing) and If I Like It, I Do It (4'53" on the reissue, 6'58 on the original pressing) - those three track durations also appear on the CD, as is the case with the MOV reissue. So, again, why would a genuine reissue of the original 1993 pressing sport different track durations? If they used the genuine, unchanged and unedited original masters, the track duration of ALL tracks on this MOV reissue should have been identical to the 1993 pressing. Reason for me to not buy the reissue but to look for a good copy of the 1993 pressing.

Superb debut album from a proper talent.
Came about at quite a good time and fit in well to the ever popular acid jazz scene. The mastering for this pressing is quite nice and packaged in the usual MOV adhesive sleeve. The overall package is precisely why some reissues are actually better than the originals. It doesn't happen often but this one I'll vouch for.
